The brother of the lone gunman behind the deadliest mass shooting in American history has been arrested in Los Angles, California over allegations he possessed child pornography on a personal computer, reports entertainment outlet TMZ.
TMZ reports the FBI had been investigating Bruce Paddock for months before his brother Stephen Paddock opened fire on a Las Vegas country music festival, killing 58 people and injuring over 500.
Inside sources say that FBI and LAPD had been searching for Bruce Paddock for weeks; finally receiving a tip after his brother made national headlines for his deadly mass murder spree. The man had been living in an assisted living facility in North Hollywood, according to the New York Post.
“Cops had been looking for Bruce but were unsuccessful until his brother’s deadly attack, said TMZ. “Soon after the rampage, investigators received a tip about Bruce’s whereabouts. The FBI and the Los Angeles Police Department busted him shortly after.”
Bruce Paddock has a troubled history with the law; facing charges of arson, vandalism, burglary, theft, and now- possession of child pornography. While the relationship between Bruce and Stephen Paddock remains a mystery, investigators don’t believe the child pornography case is in any way related to the Las Vegas mass shooting.
