Republican President Donald Trump recently said what so many of us were thinking and drew a line in the sand regarding the offensive behavior of Black Lives Matter-affiliated extremist Colin Kaepernick refusing to stand for the national anthem preceding NFL football games.
Instead of coming to their senses and rallying in support of our country and the members of America’s military, many NFL players instead doubled down on their hatred against America and ended up kneeling during the national anthem, copycatting Kaepernick.
It is sad that every single sponsor of NFL games has not pulled out in response to this clear insult to American values. The list of major companies who still sponsor the NFL that you may think twice about buying from include: Ticketmaster, Barclays, Bose, Campbell’s, FedEx, McDonald’s, Microsoft, Anheuser-Busch InBev, Nationwide, Nike, PepsiCo, Under Armour, Bridgestone and Visa.
It is far worse, then, that a major company would come out publicly on the side of liberal radical Kaepernick and his allies. However, this just happened, as sportswear giant Nike just sent out a simple but direct statement about the controversy, saying, “Nike supports athletes and their right to freedom of expression on issues that are of great importance to our society.”
The reaction against Nike has been swift. Wrote one Twitter user in Florida, “Just donated all my Nike logo shirts to AMVETS. I will never wear anything Nike again hope they choke on their NFL connection #WakeUpAmerica” Will you boycott Nike for openly supporting the anthem kneelers?
